# AMP44 Rev C Stage 3 — release-gate wording correction

This note corrects one ambiguous sentence in the frozen Stage-3 manufacturing
and report documents. It does not change PCB geometry, Gerber, drill, BOM, PnP,
STEP, case CAD, or any approved ZIP archive.

## Correct sequence

1. **Complete:** digital design-file review, including native DRC/ERC, parity,
   feedback-loop, thermal-via, connector, ESD/RF, manufacturing-file, package,
   and parent-independent checks.
2. **Before a prototype order:** obtain the fabricator's CAM/process
   confirmation for routed slots, NPTH mounting holes, J102 edge relief,
   stackup, SHIELD isolation, and 0.20/0.45 mm filled/capped via-in-pad.
3. **After manufacturing:** inspect and bring up the assembled first article,
   then measure rails, protection, thermal behavior, THD+N/noise, stability,
   shutdown, mechanical fit, and physical ESD behavior.
4. **Before user earphones:** complete the post-manufacturing electrical and
   safety measurements with current-limited power and suitable loads.

The earlier shorthand “ordering stays on HOLD until ... a fabricated first
article” should therefore be read as a conservative no-order/no-payment status,
not as a circular requirement to possess a prototype before ordering one.
